Gary Watson is currently serving the first year of a four year term for District 1.
Gary is a native of Arizona, born in Phoenix.
Gary attended school in Kingman for grades 1 through 12. He studied at the University of Bonn, Bonn Germany with the American Institute for Foreign Study (summer of 1966), and graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

He managed the family business, a bakery and perishable food distribution company from 1976-1991; served as the Vice President of Blue River Water Corporation (which he purchased with a partner), a purified water distribution company from 1991-2007; and served as President and major stakeholder of Northern Ice, Inc., a company he helped start, from 1994-2007.

Gary served as Councilman and Vice Mayor for the City of Kingman from 1978-1982; Mohave County representative to the Arizona State Board of Directors for Community Colleges from 1987-1994; Chairman of the Board for the Arizona Community Colleges from 1993-1994; private industry representative to Western Arizona Council of Governments from 1984-1986; and member of the City of Kingman Industrial Bonding Authority from 1982 to present.

Gary is currently serving on the following committees and boards: Mohave County Board of Health, LEO Member Mo/Paz Local Workforce Investment Board, WACOG Executive Board, CSA Legislative Policy Committee, and the Municipal Property Corporation.
