Mohave County Department of Public Health Nursing is one of six divisions within the public health department. The department exists in order to maintain a safe and healthy environment for the residents of Mohave County. Public Health Nursing provides professional nursing services for high risk populations. We also investigate and control communicable diseases so that we may live in healthy and safe communities.

The Nursing Division of the Mohave County Department of Public Health reaches out to the community through a range of public health programs.  Many of the services are free, regardless of household income.  Some services are provided on a sliding fee basis and others are available at a low, fixed cost.  Funding for Public Health programs come from sources such as grants, taxes, and local and state revenues.

Public Health Nursing operates out of three main district offices, with a Colorado City location covered approximately twice a week.
