The Mohave/ La Paz Workforce Investment Board provides oversight and direction for the Arizona Workforce Connection's One-Stop System of business and employment programs throughout Mohave and La Paz Counties . Private and public sector leaders join forces to promote effective and efficient workforce development programs and services to customers.
Membership
The Mohave/ La Paz WIB members are appointed by their respective County Board of Supervisors, and certified by the Governor. The members represent many components of workforce development including business, labor, education, economic development, employment and training, city and state agencies, city and regional planning organizations, chambers of commerce, youth serving agencies and other service providers.
Mohave/ La Paz 2009 WIB Membership In addition to programs for adults and dislocated workers, as well as targeted programs for seniors, Veterans, and other, the workforce programs administered within the Workforce Investment Area (WIA) serve youth who are ages 14 - 21. The WIB sponsors the Mohave/ La Paz Youth Council to provide special expertise and oversight to the development of effective youth strategies. Mohave/ La Paz 2009 Youth Council Membership
